Mother's Day Flowers Guide for the GTA

Mother's Day is the busiest day of the year for GTA florists. Here is how to order early, what arrangements are most popular, and how to make sure your flowers arrive on time.

Mother's Day falls on the second Sunday in May, and it is consistently the highest-volume delivery day of the year for GTA florists. Planning early is not optional. It is essential.

When to order

Order by Tuesday or Wednesday of the week before Mother's Day. This is not an exaggeration. Popular bouquets (especially peonies and blush roses) sell out several days before Mother's Day itself. If you wait until Saturday or Sunday, you will be choosing from whatever is left, and delivery windows will be extremely limited.

For same-day Mother's Day delivery, order before 10am on the day. By noon, we are typically at capacity for same-day orders. If you are reading this on Mother's Day afternoon and have not ordered yet, call us directly to ask about availability before attempting to order online.

The most popular Mother's Day bouquets

Blush peonies are the top Mother's Day flower in Ontario, and May is peak peony season. If you want peonies for Mother's Day, order by the Tuesday before to guarantee availability.

Soft pink roses are the most popular rose choice for Mother's Day. They communicate warmth and appreciation without the romantic connotation of red.

Garden rose mixes in blush, cream, and soft pink tones are consistently the most-ordered Mother's Day arrangement and suit almost every mum's taste.

Pastel mixed bouquets featuring soft colours across multiple flower types are a beautiful option when you are not sure of specific preferences.

Delivery options for Mother's Day in the GTA

We deliver across the GTA on Mother's Day including Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham, Oakville, and Richmond Hill. Delivery windows are morning (before 1pm) and afternoon (1pm to 6pm). We cannot guarantee specific delivery times on Mother's Day given the volume, but we prioritize morning deliveries for recipients who are going to brunch or dinner later in the day.

Local pickup on Mother's Day

If you prefer to pick up and present the bouquet in person, we offer local pickup. Select this option at checkout and we will have your arrangement ready at your requested time. Pickup is a great option for deliveries to nursing homes or care facilities where flower delivery logistics can be complicated.

What to write in the card

A few sincere Mother's Day card messages:

  • "Everything I am, you helped me become. Happy Mother's Day."
  • "Thank you for all of it. Happy Mother's Day, Mum."
  • "No words, just flowers and so much love. Happy Mother's Day."
