Same-day flower delivery in Toronto is absolutely possible, but there are a few things worth knowing before you order to make sure everything goes smoothly.
The noon cut-off rule
Most Toronto florists, including us, require orders to be placed before noon for same-day delivery. This gives us enough time to craft your arrangement fresh, package it properly, and dispatch it with enough time to reach your recipient before the end of the day.
Orders placed after noon will typically be delivered the following day. If you are in a time-sensitive situation, the safest approach is always to call or message directly to confirm availability.
Which areas can get same-day delivery?
Same-day delivery in the GTA covers Toronto (all neighbourhoods), Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham, Oakville, Richmond Hill, Etobicoke, Scarborough, North York, and most surrounding municipalities.
Farther areas like Hamilton, Oshawa, or Newmarket are typically covered but may have slightly earlier cut-offs or limited same-day availability depending on the day. If you are ordering to one of these areas, place your order as early in the morning as possible.
What happens after you order
Once your order is placed, our team begins sourcing the freshest available stems for your arrangement. We do not pre-make bouquets and sit them in a cooler. Each arrangement is made the day it is delivered, which is why the cut-off time exists. You will receive a confirmation once your order is placed and a delivery update when your bouquet is on its way.
Tips for a smooth same-day delivery
Provide a complete address. Apartment numbers, buzzer codes, and building names all matter. Incomplete addresses are the most common cause of delivery delays.
Make sure someone is home. We do our best to leave flowers safely if no one answers, but for perishable bouquets, having someone available to receive the delivery is always best.
Add a note with instructions. If you want us to leave it at the door, ring the bell and leave, or call the recipient first, add that in the order notes at checkout.
Order by 10am if you want morning delivery. For a delivery before noon, place your order by 10am. We cannot guarantee specific delivery windows, but earlier orders get an earlier start.
Can I order same-day for a surprise delivery?
Yes, same-day surprise deliveries work well. Provide the recipient's address and we will handle the rest. You can choose to leave a card with your message or opt for a mystery delivery with no card if you want to call them directly.
What if I miss the cut-off?
Next-day delivery is available for orders placed any time, including late at night. If you miss today's cut-off, order now for tomorrow morning. Next-day orders have more flexibility with delivery timing and tend to arrive in the morning.
A note on holidays
Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, and the week before Christmas see our highest order volumes. During these periods, same-day delivery availability is more limited and we recommend ordering at least 3 to 5 days in advance to guarantee your preferred bouquet and delivery date.
