Valentine's Day Flower Ordering Tips

Valentine's Day is the single most important date on the florist calendar. More flowers are sold on and around February 14 than any other time of year. Here is how to navigate it.

When to order for Valentine's Day

The honest answer is: as early as possible. Ideally order by February 7, the Saturday before Valentine's Day. Stock of specific rose colours, peonies (if in season), and premium arrangements is finite. By February 12, your choices will be limited. By February 13, same-day and next-day delivery may be fully booked.

If you are reading this close to February 14, place your order first thing in the morning on the day you read this. Do not wait.

What to order for Valentine's Day

Classic red roses are the top Valentine's Day choice, full stop. A dozen red roses (12 stems) is the most iconic Valentine's gift. Twenty-four stems is a significant statement. Both are right depending on the relationship and the moment.

Blush or pink roses are a beautiful alternative for relationships that are more established or where you want the message to feel warm rather than intense. Pink roses are also a great choice for a non-romantic Valentine's Day gift (to a best friend, a mum, or a daughter).

Mixed romantic arrangements featuring roses, ranunculus, and soft greens are popular for those who want something that feels more personal and less traditional than a single-flower bouquet.

Delivery on Valentine's Day

We deliver on February 14 across the GTA. Delivery windows are morning and afternoon. Order before noon on February 13 for Valentine's Day delivery. For morning delivery on February 14, we strongly recommend ordering by February 12.

We cannot guarantee specific delivery times on Valentine's Day due to volume. If you need the flowers to arrive before a specific event (a dinner reservation, for example), note this in your order and we will prioritize accordingly, though we cannot make guarantees.

Workplace deliveries

Sending Valentine's Day flowers to someone's workplace is a sweet gesture. Provide the complete office address and any suite number. For secure office buildings, add the recipient's name, department, and a phone number in the order notes so our driver can reach them.

For Valentine's Day, simpler is often better:
